Pretend

That it hasn't been a month and a half since I updated...

That xanga is not dead and everyone updates and reads and comments...

--I think I'm done pretending...and I admit...xanga..has died--

OH WELL.

Here's what's happened:

I'll start with my favorite one first!

::Christopher Duke was born December 8th...he's my nephew!

And the cutest thing ever!!

::Worked a ton...and still.

::Added to THE LIST..slash modified it ;)

::Went to Encinitas/ Pannikin

::Decided there are 3 major [for me] purchases that I will be saving for, starting...when I thought of it.

1..Laptop preferably a mac

2..a NICE camera [doing some research]

3..an iPod

::Made a promise with myself to hop on a plane to Europe, once I get the camera of course.

::Christmas shopped...early!

::Saw my family at 4 different locations in 2 days for Christmas.

::Saw The Holiday with Jmo!

::Crossed off one of my 3 major purchases thanks to Mom!

1..Laptop-- but only not a mac...a gateway with a nice wide screen CANNOT CMPLAIN!

::Wished I had the camera already so I can actually take pictures of beautiful storms that pop up and make
everything outside fresh and windblown like the one making crazy noise on my tiny little house right now!

::Learned, by His kindness yet again, to lean on the Lord and let go of how I think life should be.

::Got to talk to my little sister [now saved--praise the Lord!] about how God is working in my life, a conversation we've never had before.

Her words: "So, how are you and Jesus doing?"

[I could eat her up!!]

::Talked to my older younger brother about the Lord, he is definitely being pursued by God!

::Showed my littlest brother the PARTY CRICKET on a spontaneous drive after one of the family Christmas parties while listening to Mutemath, Sigur Ros, The Fray, and Blink 182!

::Marvelled at the power of God and how active He is in our lives!

::Graciously stuck in and struck by Psalm 119

::THE END::

So Good

What a great reminder of God's unfailing character.... I am no better than the Israelites...

"Their heart was not steadfast toward Him; they were not faithful to His covenant.

Yet He, being compassionate, atoned for their iniquity and did not destroy them;

He restrained His anger often and did not stir up all His wrath.

He remembered that they were but flesh, a wind that passes and comes not again...

with upright heart He shepherded them and guided them with His skillful hand."

Psalm 78: 37-39, 72

How kind of God!

i lOVE tHIS...

"Praise is due to You, O God, in Zion,

    and to You shall vows be performed.

Oh You who hears prayer,

     to You shall all flesh come.

When iniquities prevail against me,

     You atone for our transgressions.

Blessed is the one You choose and bring near;

    to dwell in Your courts!

We shall be satisfied with the goodness of Your house,

    the holiness of Your temple!

By awesome deeds You answer us with righteousness,

    O God of our salvation,

the hope of all the ends of the earth and of the farthest seas;

   the One who by His strength established the mountains,

being girded with might;

    who stills the roaring seas,

the roaring of their waves,

    the tumult of the peoples,

so that those who dwell at the ends of the earth

    are in awe at Your signs.

You make the going out of the morning

    and the evening  to shout for joy.

You visit the earth and water it;

     You greatly enrich it;

the river of God is full of water;

     You provide their grain,

for so You have prepared it.

     You water its furrows abundantly, settling its ridges,

softening it with showers,

     and blessing its growth.

You crown the year with Your bounty;

     Your wagon tracks overflow with abundance.

The pastures of the wilderness overflow,

     the hills gird themselves with joy,

the meadows clothe themselves with flocks,

     the valleys deck themselves with grain,

they shout and sing together for joy."

~ Ps. 65

I could make all of this chapter bold!  It's been extremely encouraging to read of His atonement for my sins (especially in the OT! It's like finding GOLD) and His power and holiness.  The whole earth worships Him, even if I do not...that's humbling!

Trials and struggles have been rich lately.  God has shed new light on them.  Showing me His kindness in showing me my sin, allowing me to feel the weight of it so that I turn to Him...what kindness!  What kindness to allow me to even turn to Him.  I am so blessed to be chosen by Him and brought near to dwell in His courts!  Never have I felt Him so near!  I don't deserve His nearness, but He takes pleasure in blessing me with His active and faithful presence!  Thank You Jesus for making this possible!

Ahh...Life Is Crazy...

  I think God is mellowing me out....in a good way.

This is what I looked out to this morning:

 glorious sunrise1glorious sunrise2

God has shown Himself, undeservingly, faithful and good and just and awesome!

I don't think words can express all that He has been doing in my life as well as friends around me lately.  How great is God to work in His people, to build faith, increase awe, and glorify His name in all the earth...and I really do mean in all the earth.

I am so eternally greatful!

"Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways!"  -Romans 11:33

Please pray (in faith) for Ian Murphy's life if you have not been already.  God is working!!
